About the Event

Alexander, a visiting mobility specialist from the UK will offer residential/drop-in individual and group sessions from 7 to 12 June inclusive.  Book your 60 to 90-minute sessions during that period! We highly recommend this event if you wish to regain or increase your mobility and suffer from joint stiffness and back or neck pain. A  session includes tailored functional movement screening and identifying body imbalances with assessment,  description and prescription. It is followed by corrective exercises with guidance, so they can be repeated at home.

Prices*: 

20 euros/ hour for an individual session 

15 euro/person for 2 persons 

12 euro/person from 3 attendees

Sessions include a dip in the pool and light refreshments. Let us know if you would also like to book your B&B accommodation with us.

Clothing: non-restrictive, loose sports clothing and swimming suit + swim set.

Location: The event is held outdoor by the pool at Casa Do Moinho Rural Retreat, Podentes.

About Mobility:

Dysfunctions in your body cause an ever-increasing risk of injury, pain and discomfort. The body's functional capacity to perform everyday movements diminishes over time. It creates the musculoskeletal weakness and imbalances common in many people that often remain unidentified. The root problem of the injuries is never addressed.

Lack of intervention and improper recovery only perpetuates pain.

However, the discomfort from dysfunctional movement patterns and incorrect posture is easily remedied. Mobility and stability issues can be addressed by screening to identify where weaknesses and imbalances lie in the body. Learning how to scan one's body will help alleviate symptoms. It will also help prevent future injuries and improve your quality of life by making everyday movements easier to perform.

Alexander's Mobility Workshops and sessions address the critical muscular issues responsible for pain and discomfort and help prevent symptoms and future injuries. Individualised sessions allow for a more in-depth evaluation and personalised corrective program. Group sessions are highly beneficial: expect to come out of these sessions with a deeper understanding of how your body is affected by imbalances and how to address these issues.

Sessions include flexibility, mobility, and inhibition work that'll leave you feeling relaxed and loosened up! This workshop will be held outdoor from 10 am to 6 pm and will be repeated over a week. You can book attendance for drop-in sessions from 7 to 12 June. 

About Alexander:

Alexander lives an athletic and active lifestyle. Because of the enjoyment he experiences from his sporting and fitness adventures, he feels compelled to use his knowledge and experience and help others progress in their athletic abilities or pursue a healthier way of life.

He is a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutritional Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. He is currently studying for a degree in Sports and Exercises Science, emphasising Strength and Conditioning. He regularly provides mobility and flexibility sessions at Casa do Moinho and focuses on carrying out corrective programs to repair the body's weaknesses and imbalances that are so prevalent today. 

His passion doesn't only extend to health and fitness but to the outdoors. He's an avid rural explorer, travelling to explore nature's wonders whenever possible.
